I am legend

I have so much to tell you. lol

First things first. I watched I am legend the other day. Let me just say...I was on an emotional roller coaster! I yelled I cried and I felt so sad. I know it's only a freaking movie, but I could so see that happening. I mean somethings you just shouldn't screw with. With people cloning animals and shit like that. It just freaked me out!!!! I really couldn't handle the part about his dog....I mean come on...


Okay I'm done ranting. On to other things.

So remember how I needed a new point and shoot? Well I finally found one, I got the silver one below. I know it's the same kind that I had before, just a newer model. But I didn't my research and this is what was the best for my price range. I'm pretty happy with it so far.

I also needed lighting for my scrap room. It was way too dark, so....I got this lamp cheap at Target. Thanks Brandy for recommending it, it's perfect.

I also picked this cute bikini up. I just couldn't help myself, I just love the pink and green. Also the green hearts are too cute. Just wish I had a pool in the backyard. Oh well.

I officially have my motorcycle license now. How great is that. I know I need to be careful, I know how crazy other drivers are. So no need to lecture me on how I can get killed, k? I already know and I promise to be VERY careful.

Now for the BIG news!!!!! I was selected to be on the new design team for Crop Addict!!!! My term doesn't start until July 1st, but I was told it's okay to spill the beans. I'm so very excited about it. I've never been on a dt before. For those of you that aren't into scrapbooking.....well it's a big deal. At least for me it is :)

Hello

I passed my motorcycle skills test yesterday. We weren't suppose to take it yesterday, but it's going to storm Thursday. I'm very excited about it. Now I just have to pass my written test on Thursday and I'll get my license. I'm so very happy :)

class update

So I've now had two motorcycle classes. It's interesting, not sure fun is the way I'd describe it. But I am learning a lot. I'm pretty much the only one in class that doesn't know how to ride. There is one guy that said that he'd never been on a motorcycle before. But by looking at the way he rides, not sure he was telling the true. I mean he's good, really good. So I'm the dork in the class. LOL

I've learned how to shift gears, make figure eights, weaving, oh shit stops (slamming on the brakes), and I don't remember the rest. It's been hard but I'm getting most of it down. The figure eights in a small box are pretty hard. So are the tight weaves. But hopefully I will get better before the test.

In other news, I do have something really cool to tell you all. But I can't spill the beans for another week and a half. So you have that to look forward too. LOL

Also, the plans for my Birthday party in August are going good. I got the idea from Barb for a skating party for my 30th. It's going to be 1970s-1980s theme. So it should be rad! I'm going to make invitations in the shape of a skate, I mean how awesome is that?!?!?!

What else..... the water is going down. Some places are still flooded, but the water is going down.

Sorry I don't have any photos uploaded. I really hate posting without photos. But due to my point and shoot being crushed...I have no choice. If you know of a really cool cheap point and shoot let me know. PLEASE! I need a replacement.

Just thought it'd be fun to do. Anyway, not much else going on.

I did get my riding gear in the mail today. Expect my helmet. Apparently the one I want is out of stock EVERYWHERE! So it's on back order, again! I might have to get a different one :( I have boots, gloves and a jacket.

In other news, I managed to drive on Magazine Road. For those that don't know...it's not a really busy road, but it's not a street IN my neighborhood. The speed limit is 30MPH on that road. I was freaking out big time. I didn't mean to go there at first. I was just going to go around the block. But silly me got lost, LOL. So I ended up needing to go on magazine road to get home. I was totally pumped after I made it safely home. My knees were weak but I was excited. I didn't get myself killed, LOL. Seriously though, it's a big accomplishment for me. Before that I was just going around my neighborhood. So anyway, I'm very proud of myself.

I start my motorcycle class next Tuesday. So that should be interesting. I just hope driving an actual motorcycle doesn't suck. I don't even know how to shift gears. Thankfully they will teach me that in the class. Wish me luck.

Not sure you've heard but Iowa is flooding. Thankfully we are fine and shouldn't have issues. We work with several people that are effected. Even downtown Des Moines flooded. And I guess we are getting MORE rain tonight. Not sure how we are going to get to work....Might have to take a major detour. We'll see....
