2 weeks

So I haven't posted in 2 weeks, sorry.

Class has been going good. Last week was a little confusing. We went over ISO and shutter speeds. But we didn't finish shutter speeds so I was a little confused. But this week he finished explaining it. Then we went over aperture. Now I understand what it all means. Next week we're going over the manual mode. Which means after that class I will have complete control over my camera. Should be cool, that is if I can figure out what I'm doing. So excited about it.

Went to Minneapolis on Tuesday to see the Wulf family. Had a nice visit. Got to see the little ones, they're so cute. I wanted to go to the structure garden but didn't know the address. So maybe next time. Went to IKEA, I love that place! They have such cute setups. I could have spent a small fortune, but didn't. :)

The vet said Buster had hook worms.....but I didn't see any after he took the meds. So I might switch vets. I really haven't liked them since Elizabeth left. I don't think they know what they are doing. So I'll have to find a new place. After all, Buster is my baby and I have to look out for him, right?!?!

Work......well it's about the same. No new drama, LOL. I guess that covers just about everything. Chat at ya later :P

Class rocked!

So today was the first day of my photography class. I loved it!!! I learned so much fun stuff. Can't wait for next week. I think we'll be covering shutter speeds. So fun!!!!

Let's see......I learned the proper way to hold my camera. I learned where and where NOT to get photos developed. I also learned all about pixels.

Update:

First- I got the Nikon D40X and love it! So much fun to use.

Second- I start class tomorrow, very excited about that. I can't wait to learn to use my camera (without the Auto mode on).

Third- I'm so glad I didn't have to work overtime today. Yuck! I don't want to be there more than I HAVE to. Yes, the overtime pay is nice. But I'd rather have my day off.

Fourth- Buster 'killed' another toy. He really doesn't have stuffed toys for very long. Two weeks ago he pulled all the stuffing out of the bear Christian's family got him. Then last week he ripped a whole in the blue dog that Christian got him. This time it was the duck my dad got him for Christmas. He pulled the squeaker out of it, silly dog. He's my little killer, LOL.

Okay so I watched LA Ink tonight. Made me cry at the end. Not really sure why.....I just felt bad for Pixie. Of course it ended well :) And if you don't watch the show then forget I mentioned it. But it really is fun to watch. Such cool chicks on there.

Well that's all I have to say for now. If my grammar is horrible.....too bad. My proof reader is working out :P

I've been wanting....

One of these for awhile now. I know I already own 2 digi cameras. However, this is an SLR and is so cool. I've read so many reviews and think I'm in love. But the problem: I don't know anything about taking really good pictures. I take ok photos, but I need to learn how to take GREAT photos.

So my plan is to take a class at DMAC (Des Moines Art Center) on photography. The class is for SLR cameras and how to use them to take great photos. So gotta get registered SOON. I'm pretty excited about it actually. Thanks Roger (from work) for telling me about the class.
